Restless little ones? Change up the routine, and stimulate young minds by attending the Flower Mound Library’s free monthly Pajama Story Time event, hosted every 3rd Thursday through December. Kids (and adults) will get a kick out of wearing their jammies, cozying up with their favorite blanket and stuffed animal while enjoying an hour of stories, arts and crafts, music and rhymes. This event is an innovative and stimulating way to wind down, have fun, and add a little more culture into this screen-driven world in which we live.
Flower Mound Community Activity Center presents the annual Pumpkin Dive. This unique event is the perfect bridge between Summer and Fall. Think of it as a combination of swimming, bobbing for apples, and pumpkin decorating! Bring your towel and swimsuit and dive for the floating pumpkins (there are multiple time slots for various age groups, from 3-12 years old). When you find your perfect pumpkin, the party room will be set up with everything needed to decorate your pumpkin!
Get a healthy jump on the candy and treats of the season by getting yourself moving at the Lakeside 5K and Family Fun Day Benefiting Ally’s Wish. The event includes a 5K run, a 1 Mile Family Fun Run and a Dress Up Contest. A day of activities for people of all ages, Ally’s Wish and Lakeside DFW have collaborated to honor and celebrate the lives of the moms Ally’s Wish supports. Ally’s Wish, Inc. is a nonprofit organization founded in Flower Mound, TX devoted to granting the last wish to young, terminally ill mothers with children. The event is also an excellent place to promote your local business, or even team-build, with opportunities to sponsor a water station, register as a group, or become an on-site vendor. And you can feel good about your participation, knowing every dollar you spend will be making an impact, changing lives, and benefitting the families Ally’s Wish serves.
