One Call, One Saved Sale
The Story
The highlights from this video
Imagine the panic when a realtor realizes a main water line has been damaged just hours before a closing. That was the reality for Sorrel Keeker, a dedicated realtor with Coldwell Banker, who found herself in a race against time. "Medley saved my life this morning and my sellers," she said, recounting how the situation unfolded. The sellers had inadvertently backed over the main water line while moving out late at night, leaving Sorrel scrambling to find a solution before the closing deadline.
As dawn broke, the stress was palpable. The clock was ticking, and every moment counted. Sorrel knew that without immediate action, the deal could fall apart, leaving her sellers in a tough spot. "We were able to get it fixed by 10 o'clock this morning, and everyone's happy," she shared, highlighting the urgency of the situation. The stakes were high; if the water line wasn't repaired promptly, not only would the closing be delayed, but the potential fallout could affect everyone involved, from the sellers to the buyers.
The Medley team received Sorrel's call early that morning, and they responded with impressive speed. Arriving on-site by 7:30 AM, the technicians quickly assessed the damage. They discovered that the main line had not only been ruptured but also posed a risk of flooding the property, which could have led to further complications. "They helped in an extreme emergency," Sorrel noted, emphasizing the critical nature of their response.
With a clear understanding of the situation, the Medley technicians sprang into action. They expertly isolated the affected section of the water line and utilized advanced leak detection technology to ensure there were no other hidden issues lurking beneath the surface. The team worked efficiently, employing techniques that minimized disruption to the property while ensuring a thorough repair. By 10 AM, the job was done.
The transformation was immediate. Not only did the water flow resume to normal, but the peace of mind restored to both the sellers and the buyers was invaluable. "Everyone's happy, the house is closed, buyers are happy, sellers are happy," Sorrel exclaimed, relieved that the crisis had been averted.
