The Story
The highlights from this video
Have you ever noticed your toilet acting strangely? A wobbly tank or a flush that seems weaker than usual could be more than just a minor inconvenience; it’s a sign that your toilet may be on its last legs. For many Dallas homeowners, ignoring these signs can lead to bigger problems down the road, not to mention costly repairs.
As your toilet ages, scale buildup from hard water can obstruct those crucial internal jets that help create a powerful flush. If you’re experiencing weak flushing or constant cycling of the tank, it’s time to pay attention. Putting hundreds of dollars into a 15-year-old toilet that’s already showing its age may not be the best investment.
At Medley Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing, we understand that a malfunctioning toilet can disrupt your daily life. Our expert team can help diagnose the issue and provide solutions tailored to your needs. Whether it’s time for a replacement or a simple repair, we’re here to ensure that your plumbing system operates smoothly and efficiently. Don’t let a small problem turn into a plumbing nightmare!
Are there any signs like, oh, it's probably going to be time for a toilet before too long? Yeah, if the tank is wobbling, it's loose. If, like I said, if it's turning off and on when it's not supposed to, the flush is just very weak. So the flush can get weaker over time? Absolutely, yeah. Sometimes it just doesn't make financial sense to put, you know, three to five hundred dollars into a toilet, a 15-year-old toilet that has a bunch of scale build up. Hmm, it just looks like it's not flushing very well. Probably because it isn't. That's because there's scale buildup? Yeah, there's internal jets on top of the tub. We don't see it because it's covered. Now, those get scale buildup over time, but when that water is swirling down into the bowl, if it's not doing it like it's supposed to, it means it's, there's scale buildup just from the hard water.
